Marcus Gayetaye CRI National Director

Today we are introducing Marcus Gayetaye. He serves as National Director. CRI is incredibility blessed to have his administrative and legal expertise.

Marcus is married to Blessing, and they have three children (2 biological children, Boy-13 and Girl-9, and a foster son). He joined CRI because of its vision: “SERVING AS THE HANDS & FEET OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IN THE LIVES OF DESTITUTE CHILDREN.” His commitment to CRI was recently reaffirmed when a mother who uses a wheelchair because of polio traveled a long distance to seek help for her four young children. Their father had abandoned the family and later died. With no other means of support, she was forced to beg each day to provide food for herself and her children. Marcus noted he could not rest until he was able to bring three of the children into the CRI Home for care and support.

Marcus’s degree in Public Administration coupled with his law enforcement knowledge in Child Protection and Child Welfare makes him a valuable member and leader of CRI. He has developed administrative and legal frameworks for CRI in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Liberia, including the Child Protection Policy, Caregivers’ General Roles and Responsibilities, the Student and Teacher Handbook, and the Code of Conduct for children living in CRI homes and apartments.

Due to the traumatic situations CRI staff members oversee daily, Marcus ensures they are achieving job satisfaction. He embodies a leadership framework of radical transparency to ensure employees understand CRI plans and strategies. This enables the employees to also better support and align with CRI goals.

Marcus is looking forward to assisting in development and construction of the multi-purpose building on the acquired parcel of land behind the King of Glory Mission School in Fendell. This will allow CRI to relocate the dormitories and CRI Administrative Offices and provide more space for new children. He is also looking forward to expanding school enrollment by increasing school capacity via additional classroom annexes or additional floors to existing structures. These long-term projects will ensure CRI has continued sustainable impact.

With all of Marcus’ successes personally and professionally his greatest accomplishments and satisfaction come from helping children and seeing their success through adulthood.
