Our Spring 2026 Fundraiser begins on May 3rd!
Greetings from Liberia in Jesus Name!
We are writing to announce our Spring 2026 Fundraiser. Our goal is to expand our Economic Development Program (EDP) by purchasing a pickup truck. The fundraiser runs from 5/3 thru 5/9.
Last year you gave $6,409 for this purpose … and this year we are off to a great start with an advance gift of $1,000! We hope to raise at least $7,500 more to purchase an older pickup in good condition.
Thank you for your continuing prayers, gifts of time, and gifts of money!

Economic Development Program Overview
In rural areas, families are primarily subsistence farmers. They care for most of their food needs, but struggle earning income for other needs. Farmers lack: affordable transportation to get crops to market; capital for mills to extend their crop’s shelf-life; and the knowledge to improve production and introduce other crops or livestock.
We are focusing on transportation, farm education, and cassava mills. Each program meets a well defined need, provides employment at a market wage, actively shares the Good News of Jesus Christ, and provides training for our Neighbors and some of our Kids.
Transportation Program Overview
The Transportation Program began in 2024. We employ a Program Manager, a Driver, a Conductor, and several part time workers, 1 motorbike, and 1 light duty truck. We help rural farmers get their crops to market; with a secondary goal of trucking other goods and people to and from rural areas.
This year we are averaging 19 trips per month and serving approximately 75 customers each month. Crucial to our mission, Team Members build relationships and share the Gospel on each trip.
Our Team strives to keep our charges below market rates, yet to be economically sustainable. After wages, fuel, & misc. truck expenses we are clearing about $500/month. Our plan is to reinvest these profits right back into our EDP Programs!
So why do we need a pickup truck?
Our truck is taking quite a beating! Liberia’s roads are primarily dirt, sometimes gravel, and infrequently pavement. Getting crops to a good road is hard during the dry season and very challenging during the rainy season.
With a pickup, we will have a better option to carry smaller loads from remote areas. We will also be able to carry small loads to a main road and transfer them to the larger truck. In addition to helping the more isolated farmers; we will extend the truck’s operating life and reduce our maintenance costs.
