The Dewoblee Warehouse is nearing completion!

We are getting closer to establishing a warehouse and a cassava milling operation in Dewoblee!

EDP Warehouse in Dewoblee, Nimba County

Richmond Gayetaye has been supervising the work of the local carpenters and volunteers.  Our Economic Development Director, Wonkehmie Bellah, and the Economic Development Team is monitoring progress and making plans for the next phase.  Once the warehouse is completed, we are looking forward to purchasing a cassava press and mill and working with the area farmers to begin production.

With the high heat and humidity, it is very difficult to store harvested cassava for very long.  By milling it into a flour, bagging it, and storing it in a dry place … the farmers will be able to ensure some of their crop is available throughout the year.  In addition, they plan to transport some of the flour to market to generate some cash income. And of course, this is another area where our EDP Transportation Program will be available make an impact.

Thank you King of Glory Church for allowing us to use a portion of your generous gift to establish an Economic Development Program … and thank you to our EDP Team for moving this important project forward.

May God bless this work and provide us the wisdom and strength to move the remaining phases of this project across the finish line!
